Senior Production Technologist
Axis Well Technology is looking for an experienced Senior Production Technologist for a permanent staff position based in Aberdeen, UK.

Axis Well Technology was founded in 2001 as an independent well engineering and sub-surface support consultancy. The company provides a range of services that includes technical input and expertise for the design, planning and implementation phases of well operations, including well testing, completions, interventions and work-overs.
Axis is a rapidly expanding UK based Oil & Gas consultancy, specialising in well test, interventions and completion operations to the global industry. Axis performs the majority of its project work in-house. This promotes lateral learning - the sharing of best practice, ideas and technologies from other projects - and provides a gateway to an impressive library of data, together with access to industry-recognised technical software packages.
The successful candidate should have a degree or MSc ideally in Petroleum Engineering (or in Science/Engineering), have several years relevant experience in production technology and well operations with an operating company and/or consultancy company, with a proven track record that demonstrates delivery. They should also be a good communicator and work well within a small team, but able to work independently when required. Supervisory skills and experience are essential.

- Near wellbore and lower completion behavior analysis
- Single well & integrated asset network modeling analysis for production system design & optimisation
- Completion/artificial lift design & planning& operation of a variety of liftsystems
- Artificial Lift System Optimisation
- Completion production system feasibility definition, design and management
- Sand Failure analysis, control & management
- Production flow assurance modeling and control
- Tubing Stress Analysis
- Production monitoring and behavior analysis, remedial intervention & optimisation strategy design
- Well test design and pressure transient analysis
- Well integrity management
- Production risk analysis and availability modeling
- Petroleum engineering functional consulting such as client capability reviews, technology programme implementation & management, asset evaluation & due diligence
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Science discipline, preferably with an MSc in Petroleum Engineering
- Approximately 10 years experience in a relevant production technology and operational role, preferably with an operating oil company, major service company or consultancy
- Excellent communication and reporting skills with focused project management skills for project delivery
- Strong analytical problem solving skills for technical problems within a multi-disciplined environment
- Ability to work using own initiative without regular guidance or supervision.
- Experience of mentoring and assisting other engineers with a project environment desirable
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge and experience using engineering software applications such as Prosper, GAP, SAPHIR, WellCat etc. Knowledge and experience of visual basic programming as well as data-base development would be highly beneficial
