Chemistry in the Oil Industry XIX - Shaping the Future of Energy

We are looking forward to attending the Chemistry in the Oil Industry XIX symposium in Manchester from 20th to 22nd April 2026, which is organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry's Speciality Chemicals Interest Group.
This long established technical conference brings together industry leaders, researchers and innovators to explore the role of chemistry across the energy landscape, from CCUS and flow assurance to decommissioning and future asset repurposing.
Ross Anderson (Principal Production Chemist) will be presenting a joint paper with Spirit Energy titled: βπΊππ π»π¦ππππ‘π πππ π»ππππ‘π π ππ π π΄π π ππ π ππππ‘ πππ πππππππππ πΆπΆπ ππππππ‘ππππ β. The presentation will focus on the production chemistry aspects of hydrate and halite formation within CCS operations, and how understanding these mechanisms supports safe, reliable and long term COβ storage performance.
