Onshore and Offshore ICP Verification for Well Test Bleed Off Package

Axis was engaged by Valaris, the industry leader in offshoredrilling services, to provide Independent Competent Person (ICP) verificationservices for their Client’s well operations onboard the VALARIS 120. The project involved a full review of the Well Test Bleed Off package to ensurecompliance with Valaris’ performance standards and regulatory requirements.
In the UK, an Independent Competent Person (ICP) is required by the Offshore Installations (Safety Case) Regulations (SCR) for Dutyholders to verify the suitability of Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and PFEER specified plant. The ICP's role is to provide assurance that SCEs are initially suitable and remain so throughout, ensuring risk control measures are effective and dependable.
Scope of Work
- Onshore: Documentation review, system design assessment, verification of safety systems, and formal ICP acceptance.
- Offshore: Equipment inspection, rig-up supervision, commissioning oversight, and verification of safety and operational interfaces.
Key Deliverables
Axis completed a comprehensive Onshore ICP Review of the Well Test Bleed Off Package, followed by a detailed Offshore Review of the Well Test Rig-Up, providing assurance of safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
